GSGF Programme 2010

  

1st Quarter

 

- On the occasion of the 16th  anniversary of General Stefan Gusa’s death, Heroes’ Day, Army’s Day and other festivities, participation in the events organized in partnership with the 2nd Joint Operations Command of Buzau and local authorities for the commemoration ceremonies at the monument raised in the courtyard of the church of Spataru village;
- Deposition of wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Heroes’ Day and Romanian Army’s Day;
- Realization and printing of the presentation leaflet of “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation;
- Updating and maintenance of “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation website.

 

2nd Quarter

 

- Organization and carrying out of inauguration ceremonies of “General Stefan Gusa” Reading-Room at “Carol I” Defence National University;
- “General Stefan Gusa” Diplomas and Prizes awarding to students having graduated with highest marks from the following Military High Schools: “Dimitrie Cantemir” of Breaza, “Stefan cel Mare” of Campulung Moldovenesc and “Mihai Viteazul” of Alba Iulia.
- “General Stefan Gusa” Diplomas of Excellence and Special Prize awarding to the student having graduated with highest marks from the Technical Military Accademy, to the researcher or graduate from “Carol I” Defence National University with the best graduation thesis and to an officer of “Maresal  Alexandru Averescu” Joint Operations Command of Buzau who wrote a specialistic study.

 

3rd Quarter

 

- “General Stefan Gusa” Diplomas and Prizes awarding  to students having graduated with highest marks from the following institutions: “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu, “Mircea cel Batran” Naval Academy of Constanza, “Henri Coanda” Air Force Academy of Brasov, “Mihai Viteazul” Combat Units Application School of Pitesti, “General Eremia Grigorescu” Support Combat Units Application School of Sibiu, “Aurel Vlaicu” Air Forces Application School of Bobocu, “General Constantin Zaharia” Logistics Application School of Chitila – Bucharest and “Viceamiral Constantin Balescu” Naval Application School of Constanza;
- Realization of the column entitled “Personalities in Uniform” of “Military Observatory”;
- “General Stefan Gusa” Diplomas and Prizes awarding to graduates with highest marks from: “Basarab I” Land Forces Military School for Military Masters and Non-Commissioned Officers of Pitesti, “Traian Vuia” Air Forces Military School for Military Masters and Non-Commissioned Officers of Bobocu, and “Amiral Ion Murgescu” Naval Military School for Military Masters of Constanza.
- Assignment of scholarships to three pupils of Military High Schools and to four pupils of the Technical Military Academy and of each of the three Armed Forces Academies.
- Trips abroad for three pupils of the 2nd and 3rd year of studies at Military High Schools (“Dimitrie Cantemir” of Breaza, “Mihai Viteazul” of Alba Iulia and “Stefan cel Mare” of Campulung Moldovenesc);

 

4th Quarter

 

- Support and sponsorization of the University of Pitesti for the organization of the Ninth Edition of the National Session of Scientific Communications of History Faculty students on the theme “Students’ Research in the 3rd Millennium” and of the Annual Session of Scientific Communications of Socio-Humanistic Sciences Faculty students;
- On the occasion of the anniversary of December 1989 events, participation in General Stefan Gusa’s commemoration at the monument raised in his honour in the courtyard of the church founded in Spataru village;
- Interviews, articles in military and civilian press, radio and television  programmes related to GSGF purpose and objectives;
- Sponsorization of editorial activities, as follows: elaboration, editing and printing of military memoirs and military history books and studies and  printing of magazines of Military Cadres Associations (such as “Heroes’ Cult”, “War Veterans” or “Military Reserve Force”), that is of a book – Military Attaché Transmit – Vol. 6, and of two issues of “Heroic Romania” and one of “Army Reserve”.
