The Board of Trustees of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation adopts this regulation.

Art. 1. – The “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation grants diplomas, cash prizes or objects and scholarships that promote excellence in scientific research in the fields of defense and national security and the continuous education and training activity of the teaching staff, officers, trainees, pupils and students of military and civilian institutions of higher education, with a profile compatible with the object of the activity and the purpose of the foundation.

Art. 2. – The number and amount of prizes and scholarships are established annually, by 15 December for the following year, by the Board of Directors, together with the approval of the Program and the Foundation’s budget, of entries and exits.

Art. 3. – (1) Scholarships are granted, within the limits of available financial resources, for continuing education courses, masters or doctorates at universities and defense schools or research centers, training in the fields of defense and security, country and from abroad, mainly:

a) doctoral students at military institutes or institutions, for political studies of defense and military history and professors at university-academic rank who have eminent contributions to the elaboration of original works in the field of defense and national security, the promotion of values and traditions of the Romanian army,

b) officer students and trainees of military universities and academies, who obtain exceptional results in their studies and do not have the necessary resources to deepen them.

(2) The prizes, accompanied by diplomas of excellence, are awarded to researchers and teachers who author original scientific works of a certain value and to graduates who are responsible for the promotion of military educational institutions or who have the most interesting diploma works.

Art. 4. – The selection and recommendation of candidates for the award of scholarships, diplomas and prizes “General Ştefan Guşă” is carried out at the request of the board of directors of the foundation, as the case may be, by the senates or professors councils of universities, academies, application schools and training centers of the armed forces and weapons categories, with the approval of the competent higher levels, with which the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation has concluded cooperation agreements.

This regulation was adopted by the board of directors of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation, in compliance with the provisions of Art. 29 par. (2) by Law no. 246 of 2005 concerning associations and foundations.
