I. Ceremonies:
a. October 25, 2017 – Army Day: Laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
b. May 25, 2017 – Ascension of the Lord – Heroes’ Day, military and religious ceremony at the Foundation in the village of Spataru (laying of wreaths, commemorative packages)
December 22, 2017 – Anniversary of the events of December 1989. Military and religious ceremony (laying of wreaths, commemorative packages)
II. Activities
Assignment of monthly scholarships, 7 scholarships between October 2016 and June 2017 for:
3 squad leaders and students of the non-commissioned officers school
3 cadets of the military academies (land, air, naval)
1 student Military Technical Academy.
Trip to Italy for eight students of the Military High School and one accompanying teacher in the period 28.06 2017-03.07 2017.
The awarding of the diplomas and prizes of the “General Ştefan Guşă Foundation” to the graduates who are heads of promotion of:
Military Technical Academy, Academies
Land Forces “Nicolae Bălcescu” Sibiu;
Naval Forces “Mircea the Old Man” Constanta;
Air Force “Henri Coandă” Braşov
Military Schools of Squad Leaders and Non-Commissioned Officers:

Assignment of the Foundation Prizes to the first three military athletes ranked in the final phase of the Military Sports Games, between June and July 2017.

February 18, 2017 – Saturday, February 18 at Vatra Dornei there took place the closing ceremony of the final phase at the Ministry of National Defence of the military ski championship for training units
Winter Games 2017
Saturday, February 18 this year at Vatra Dornei there took place the closing ceremony of the final phase at the Ministry of National Defence of the military ski championship for training units, held from February 15 to 17, 2017. On this occasion there were delivered the diplomas and prizes of the “General Ştefan Guşă”. There were distributed the funds in the amount of 2400,00 lei, awarded to the athletes ranked in the first three places in the competition events: the first classified, corporal Dumitru Moisan of the land troops; in second place corporal Daniel Beldungam of the Communications Command; Third classified, corporal Marius Costiuc of the Air Force. In the weekly of the Army “Observatorul Militar” no. 8, page 8 there appeared the news on the amount of the prizes and diplomas conferred by the Foundation.
May 25, 2017 – On the occasion of Ascension Day-Heroes’ Day, the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation, in collaboration with the military garrison of Buzău – Command of the 2nd infantry division “Getica”, organized a military ceremony…
Ascension of the Lord – Heroes’ Day
Thursday, May 25, 2017, on the occasion of Ascension Day-Heroes’ Day, the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation, in collaboration with the military garrison of Buzău – Command of the 2nd infantry division “Getica”, organized a military and religious ceremony with honour guard and brass band, with laying of wreaths at the monument of general Ştefan Guşă and at the monument of the heroes of the village situated in the church of his foundation in the village Spataru, commune of Costeşti. 300 commemorative packages were distributed to the participants.
They laid the wreaths: a delegation of the family and of the General Ştefan Guşă Foundation formed by General Spiroiu Niculae – former colleagues – and Mr. Costin Vrabie; Major General Foca, Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division “Getica”, Section of the Cult of Heroes, Prefecture and County Council of Buzau, Municipality and General School of Costeşti. Inhabitants of the village, reserve officers and relatives participated.
July 08, 2017 – Saturday, July 8 of this year there took place in Mangalia the closing ceremony of the final phase at the Ministry of National Defence of the Summer Games for the training units held from July 3 to 8, 2017…
Summer Games 2017
Saturday, July 8 this year in Mangalia there took place the closing ceremony of the final phase of the Summer Games of the Ministry of National Defence for the training units held from July 3 to 8, 2017. On this occasion there were delivered the Diplomas and the Prizes of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation. there were distributed a value of 2.400,00 lei, awarded to the athletes ranked in the first three places in the competition events: 1st classified, Plt Muscalu Elena, of the land troops; in second place MM Sandu Simona of Comanda
July 23 – 30, 2017 – In the period from July 23 to 30, 2017 there took place the trip of the group of students of the National Military Colleges, beneficiaries of the prize “Trip to Italy” of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation.
Trip to Milan 2017
Between July 23 and 30, 2017 there took place the group of students of the National Military Colleges, beneficiaries of the prize “Trip to Italy” of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation. The group was formed by the students: PANA Elena-Lorena and CRISTEA Razvan-Constantin of the National Military College “Dimitrie Cantemir”: ION Roberta and OPREAN-HURDUC Andrei, of the National Military College “Mihai Viteazul”; CURIC Bianca and ANDRONACHE Dumitru-Octavian of the National Military College “Stefan cel Mare”: PALAGHIA Irina-Maria and IONESCU George-Valentin of the College “Tudor Vladimirescu” under the direction of Prof. Carmen-Cecilia ROMAN. Cultural and tourist objectives of the cities of Milan and Venice were visited.

The “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation awarded the Diploma of Excellence and the Prize for Scientific Research in the amount of 1500 lei to Mr. Colonel Prof. Dr. Ion PURICEL of the National Defence University “Carol I”, author of the work ” AIR POWER IN MOVEMENT IN THE BLACK SEA REGION”
