The Ministry of National Defence organized the summer sports games in Brasov, during May 13–17, 2024.
On this occasion, as every year, the General Stefan Gusa Foundation awarded diplomas and prizes to the athletes ranked in the first three places:

The Ministry of National Defence organized the award ceremony for the winners of the Winter Sports Games for training units.

The Ministry of National Defence organized the winter sports games in Vatra Dornei, during March 2–5, 2023. On this occasion, the General Stefan Gusa Foundation awarded diplomas and prizes to the athletes ranked in the first three places:

Awarding of the General Stefan Gusa Foundation Prize for scientific research in the field of National Defence.
During the ceremony held on September 26, 2023, at the Aula of the National Defence University “Carol I”, the General Stefan Gusa Foundation awarded the Diploma of Excellence and the Prize for Scientific Research in the field of National Defence for the work “SEVER BOCU (1874–1951) – A LIFE, AN IDEAL, A DESTINY”, authored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Florian Bichir and Prof. Dr. Horia Dumitrescu.
December 22, 2023 – Day of the Victory of the Romanian Revolution and Freedom
On December 22, 2023, at the monument of General Stefan Gusa located within the church complex in the locality of Spataru, a religious and military ceremony was held to mark the “Day of the Victory of the Romanian Revolution and Freedom”.
Representatives of the Prefecture of Buzau, the Buzau garrison, the Municipality of Costesti, and the General Stefan Gusa Foundation participated in the ceremony. After the religious service and the presentation of honors by the soldiers of the Buzau garrison, wreaths were laid.
On this occasion and during the winter holidays, students of the General School in Spataru received gifts from the Foundation (school supplies, toys, sweets and fruit). Food packages were also distributed to families facing social difficulties in the locality of Spataru.
On January 23, 2015, the second installment of the scholarships of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation was paid by postal money order, in the amount of 900 lei each, totaling 6300 lei, to the following 7 military scholarship holders for the 2014–2015 academic year:

June 2014 Trip – General Stefan Gusa Foundation Award
Between June 29 and July 5, 2014, the trip of the group of students from military high school colleges took place, beneficiaries of the “Trip to Italy” award of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation.
The group consisted of the following students:
Dragomir Laurenţiu-Georginel – “Mihai Viteazul” College;
Chiva Mădălin-Marian – “Dimitrie Cantemir” College;
Cretu Vasile – “Ştefan cel Mare” College.
Group leader: Prof. Carmen-Cecilia Roman.
Cultural and tourist attractions in the cities of Milan and Rome were visited.
Upon returning to the country, the students who benefited from the trip received as a gift one volume of the work “Condamnat la Adevăr” and the amount of 1000 RON per person.

Summer Sports Games Awards Mangalia – July 2014
On Friday, July 4, 2014, in the city of Mangalia, the closing ceremony of the Ministry of National Defence phase of the Summer Applied Military Sports Competitions for training units took place.
On this occasion, Diplomas and Prizes of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation, totaling 2000 lei, were awarded to the athletes ranked in the first three places in the competition events:
Capt. Pricope Diana, UM 01552 Galaţi – overall champion;
Capt. Costiuc Marius, UM 01824 “O” – 2nd place;
Corporal Uipelean Teodora, UM 01518 Prundu Bârgăului – 3rd place.
September 16, 2013
On September 16, 2013, the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation awarded the Scientific Research Prize, worth 1500 lei, to Cpt. Cdr. Laurenţiu Popescu from the “Carol I” National Defence University, for his work on the influence of drone usage in military operations.
November 13, 2013
On November 13, 2013, letters were sent to the students and military scholarship recipients of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation, informing them about the scholarship amounts and the payment schedule.
The letters were accompanied by presentation brochures of the Foundation.
On the same date, the first installment of the scholarships, amounting to 450 lei each (total 3150 lei), was paid via postal orders to the following 7 military scholarship recipients for the 2013–2014 academic year:

Between June 24 and June 29, 2012, a study trip took place for a group of military high school students, beneficiaries of the “Trip to Italy” award offered by the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation.
The group consisted of the following students:

April 2011
During the week of April 11–16, 2011, the final installment (for May–July) of the “General Ştefan Guşă” subsistence scholarships was paid to 10 beneficiaries: students from military high schools, Military Schools for Warrant Officers and NCOs, and students from the Military Technical Academy and the Land, Air, and Naval Forces Academies.
Additionally, Certificates of Excellence and the “General Ştefan Guşă” Prize, worth 2000 lei, were awarded for the most valuable original research papers in the field of national defense and security, presented at the 7th Scientific Conference STRATEGII XXI, themed “The Universe of Military Science,” organized by the “Carol I” National Defence University on April 14–15.
The recipients, designated by the Scientific Secretariat of the Conference, were:
Lieutenant Colonel, Lecturer PhD Ion Călin, author of “Information Management of Operational Force Groupings in Joint Operations”
Research Assistant Cristina Bogzeanu, from the Center for Strategic Defense and Security Studies, author of “Progress and Obstacles in the European Integration Process of the Western Balkan States”, published in the journal “Impact Strategic,” no. 1/2010

together with Prof. Carmen-Cecilia Roman from the “Mihai Viteazul” College, benefited from the annual award of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation – “Trip to Italy”.
The one-week trip aimed to support the educational development of outstanding students and included visits to major cultural, artistic, and scientific landmarks—palaces, cathedrals, and museums—in the cities of Milan, Venice, and Florence.

Starting from the 2010–2011 academic year, alongside other awards and scholarships, the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation established subsistence scholarships for one student from each Military High School, each Military School for Warrant Officers and NCOs of the Force Staffs, and from the Military Technical Academy and the Land, Air, and Naval Forces Academies.
The selection of the 10 military students was carried out—with the support of the Human Resources Management Directorate of the Ministry of National Defence—by the leadership of the respective educational institutions, based on the criteria set out in the Foundation’s Awards and Scholarships Regulations.
The scholarships are part of the Foundation’s program supporting excellence in military education, developed since 2009.

On Saturday, July 31, 2010, representatives of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation awarded Certificates of Excellence and prizes worth 6600 RON for achievements in military education to top graduates.
The awards were presented during the graduation and rank promotion ceremonies of the 2010 class (officers, warrant officers, and NCOs) at the following institutions:

On November 27, 2010, during the second edition of the History Competition for high school students in Buzău County, organized by the “Marshal Alexandru Averescu” Foundation and the Buzău County Cultural Council, the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation offered history-themed books to the awarded students and their teachers.
Among the titles offered, with a total value of 393 RON, were:

April 9–10, 2009
Awarding of the “Certificate of Excellence” and the “General Ştefan Guşă” Prize for scientific research, worth €500, to Mr. Cristian Băhnăreanu from the “Carol I” National Defence University, for the paper “Energy Resources – Crises, Conflicts”, presented at the session on “Regional Stability and Security”.
Over 500 academics, researchers, and experts, as well as high-ranking officials from the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation, and the Ministry of Administration and Interior, along with accredited military diplomats in Bucharest, including Lieutenant General Prof. Dr. Teodor Frunzeti (Rector of the “Carol I” National Defence University), Ambassador George Cristian Maior (Director of the Romanian Intelligence Service), State Secretary Viorel Oancea, and representatives of universities and research institutes from Romania, Germany, Italy, and Ukraine, gathered to analyze solutions to complex geostrategic challenges.

Additionally, 20 donations were made (365 volumes and various goods), including books, food, school supplies, clothing, and financial aid, totaling €3,310 (13,904 RON).
Sponsorship of the National Association of Reserve and Retired Military Personnel, through editorial and graphic works worth approximately 8000 RON (€2000), including: printing of the journal “Rezerva Oştirii Române”, materials featuring the ANCMRR logo, greeting cards with envelopes, presentation brochures, statutes, etc.
Sponsorship of the National Association “Cult of Heroes” for the printing of issue no. 2/2008 of the journal “România Eroică”.
Sponsorship of the University of Pitești for organizing the 7th edition of the National Scientific Communication Session for students, “Student Research in the Third Millennium”.
Scholarship for the development of graphic design projects worth 2800 RON, awarded to a graphic designer.
Medical aid granted to a reserve officer, worth 3000 RON.

Sponsorship of students from the “General Ştefan Guşă” primary school in the village of Spătaru, through the provision of school supplies and books.
Awarding of prizes consisting of books, manuals, and educational materials to the top students of military high schools across the country.
Awarding, with books published by the Foundation, of the authors of the most valuable papers presented at the 6th edition of the International Student Session of history faculties, organized at the University of Pitești.
The Foundation sponsored the publication of the work “The Calvary of Romanian Prisoners” – volumes I and II, Bucharest, 2006, published by Europa Nova – a testimony to the sacrifice paid with their lives by Romanians who had the misfortune of falling into enemy hands and were subjected to extermination treatments.
Sponsorship of repair and renovation works carried out at the Elderly Care Home in Măgura, Bacău County.
Donation of school supplies and Christmas gift packages to children from the kindergarten and school in the village of Spătaru.
Sponsorship of technical editorial work and printing, under the Foundation’s aegis, of the volume: “Romanian-German Military Relations 1940–1944”, vol. II, authors: Iulian Botoghina, Vasile Ciuhan, Vasilica Manea, Lenuța Matei, and Constantin Stoianovici.
On the occasion of the opening of the new school year on September 15, 2005, sponsorship of the “General Ştefan Guşă” School and Kindergarten in the village of Spătaru, through the donation of school supplies and toys.
Donations of books published under the Foundation’s aegis to:
– the permanent exhibition at the “Mihai Viteazul” Combat Units Application School in Pitești;
– representatives of the publications “Dosarele Istoriei”, “Document”, “Revista de Istorie Militară”, the Romanian Commission for Military History, and the Bihor County Military Archives Directorate;
– participants in the Scientific Communication Session of the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Journalism at the University of Pitești;
– participants in the symposium on the topic of August 23, 1944, at the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești.
Grupul Drăgan a luat naștere în anul 1948, odată cu înființarea ButanGas SpA în Italia. În prezent activitatea Grupului Drăgan este coordonată de Veroniki Holding, structură unică de coordonare, fondată în acest sens, în anul 2010, de către doamna Daniela Veronica Gușă de Drăgan.
