Program

  1. Edition at the expense of the Foundation of volumes grouped by collections or series, as follows:

Coll. External military relations of Romania in the 20th century;

  • The calvary of Romanian prisoners in the First World War, vol. II;
  • The ministers of National Defence (1859 – 1947);
  • Romanian liaison officers with the allied armies in the First and in the Second World War;

*Romania in the vision of general Berthelot. The reports sent by him to Paris in the period October 1916 – March 1918;
*Collection of documentation necessary for the elaboration of the volume dedicated to Romanian liaison officers with the allied armies.

Continuation of the collection of documentation necessary for the elaboration of a dictionary of Romanian military attachés, and for the edition of the volume Military Attachés Report … 1920 – 1929, vol. VI.

Coll. Illustrious personalities of the Romanian army:

Continuation of the collection of documentation necessary for the elaboration of the volume dedicated to the ministers of National Defence.

  1. Edition of the Yearbook of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation on themes of military history.
  2. Presentation within the broadcast “The Army Hour” of Radio Romania of a section dedicated to the presence of civilian and military personalities in the Romanian Army, and to particularly significant moments in the history of the latter.
  3. Presentation by the television broadcaster “Romania Cultural” of the books published by the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation.
  4. Systematic promotion through the newspaper “Redesteptarea”, Radio Nova FM Lugoj and Ten TV of the books published by the Foundation.
  5. Translation into Romanian and publication of books on various themes of military history, signed by foreign authors (French, German, Italian, etc.).
  6. Translation and printing in other languages, under the patronage of the Foundation, of various books, among which:

Romanian-Italian political-diplomatic and military relations. 1914 – 1947 (in Italian language).

  1. Continuation of the drafting in the culture page of the newspaper “Redesteptarea” of Lugoj of a section entitled “Notebook of a historian”, on themes related to local military history, or to particularly significant events of the modern and contemporary history of Romania.
  2. Organization of an annual Session of scientific communications on historical themes, with the participation of various personalities of contemporary Romanian historiography; the papers presented will be published in the Yearbook of the Foundation.
  3. Awarding of the prizes of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation consisting of money and of works published by the latter, to the authors of the best communications presented at the 6th international Session of students of the faculties of history, organized in December at the University of Pitesti. On this occasion, media promotion of the name and activity of the Foundation.
  4. Organization of cycles of conferences on themes of history at the European University Dragan of Lugoj and of Brasov.
  5. Organization of the ceremonies of laying of wreaths at the monument of General Stefan Gusa, located in the village of Spataru, region of Buzau.
  6. Sponsorship of the General School “General Stefan Gusa” with stationery articles and books.

  2. Presentation by the television broadcaster “Romania Cultural” of the books published by the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation.
  3. Drafting of articles for the section of the culture page of the newspaper “Redesteptarea” of Lugoj, entitled “Notebook of a historian” and dedicated to themes regarding local military history, or particularly important events of the modern and contemporary history of Romania.
  4. Continuation of the awarding of the prizes of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation, consisting of books published by the latter, for the best communications presented within the 6th edition of the international Session of students of the faculties of history, organized in December at the University of Pitesti. On this occasion, media promotion of the name and activity of the Foundation.
  5. Awarding of prizes consisting of books, manuals and stationery articles, to the best students of the military high schools of the country.
  6. Organization of the ceremonies of laying of wreaths of flowers at the monument of general Stefan Gusa, erected in the village of Spataru, province of Buzau.
  7. Sponsorship of the General School “General Stefan Gusa” with donation of stationery articles and books.
  8. Redoing and updating of the website www.fundatiagusa.ro.
  9. Printing of promotional materials concerning the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation.
