– Prize and diploma of excellence of the Foundation for the best work of scientific research in the field of national security and defence, on the occasion of the annual international conference “Strategie XXI” at the National Defence University “Carol I”.
– Special prize of the “FGȘG”, a trip abroad (Italy), one student from each of the 3 Military High Schools with the Italian teacher accompanying them (3+1 persons).
– Two special prizes of the Foundation, one for the best military sportsman at the Winter Games and at the Summer Games of the Army.
Donation of books for the first prize to the authors of the works presented at the communication session of the students of the Faculties of Socio-human Sciences of the University of Pitesti.
– Donation of books for the first prize for the authors of the works presented at the communication session of the students of the Faculties of History organized by the University of Pitești.
– Donation of history books and history books for the history competition of pupils and students of Buzău county organized on the occasion of the National Day.
– Sponsorship of editorial activities: elaboration, editing, printing of studies, books of military history and memoirs, printing of journals of military associations – Cult of Heroes, War Veterans, Military Reserves, as follows: one title of the book “Military Attachés Report” Vol VI; one issue of the magazine “Heroic Romania”.

Vatra Dornei – Applied military winter competitions and winter sports
From February 20 to 25 the final phase of the winter competitions of military sports and winter sports for the combat units of the Ministry of National Defence took place in Vatra Dornei. On this occasion there were delivered the Diploma of Excellence and the Prize of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation in the amount of 1000,00 lei (235 euro) to the competitor with the most valuable performances, the non-commissioned officer Cătălin Suciu of the Bg 81 Mountain Hunters, Bistrița. At the beginning of July, at the end of similar summer competitions, the Foundation will award the same honours to the best military sportsman. The diploma and the prize were established in conformity with the Regulation on diplomas, prizes and scholarships of the “General Stefan Gusa” and will be awarded annually.

25 April – 04 May – From April 25 to May 4 the third instalment of the study scholarships of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation was paid to 10 scholarship holders, military students and pupils of the Military Technical Academy, of the Academies and of the Military Schools of the categories Masters and Non-Commissioned Officers of the Armed Forces. On May 24 of this year, on the occasion of Heroes’ Day – Heroes’ Day – the General Stefan Gusa Foundation organized in collaboration with the Prefecture and the Military Garrison of Buzau a religious and military ceremony at the monument of the Hero General Stefan Gusa in the village of Spataru. Wreaths were laid in the name of the Foundation and of the Gusa family, of the Prefecture and of the Garrison of Buzau, of the Information Service of Buzau, of the War Veterans, of the General Stefan Gusa General School of Spataru and of the Municipality of Costesti, of the Association of Reservists of the City of Mizil, of the PNL, etc. The family offered remembrance packages to all the participants – over 300, among whom generals and commanding officers of the UM of the city and county, reserve soldiers, veterans, priests, inhabitants of the village of Spataru”.

In conformity with a project which has become a tradition (four years since its establishment), the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation has also this year awarded DIPLOMAS of EXCELLENCE and money PRIZES to the class leaders of the 2012 class “Neagoe Basarab 500” of the military educational institutions of the Ministry of National Defence.
The diplomas and the prizes in the amount of 1200 lei were awarded to: Major ILEANA-NIȚĂ M. Constantin – George, leader of the 113th class of the National Defence University “Carol I”; engineer CHIFOR Bogdan-Cosmin, leader of the class of the Military Technical Academy; graduate Mircea-Petru STANIC, leader of the class of the Land Forces Academy “Nicolae Bălcescu”; Marinela-Romina MÎRZA, head of the Aeronautics Academy “Henri Coandă” and Alexandra-Elena MUȘAT, head of the Naval Academy “Mircea cel Bătrân”.
Diplomas and prizes in the amount of 1.000 lei each were delivered to the heads of the graduation classes, the future military masters and the non-commissioned officers of the specialized schools of the Armed Forces, as follows: graduate Cristina-Denisa BARBU, head of the graduation class of the Military School of military masters and non-commissioned officers of the Land Forces “Basarab I”; graduate CUCOȘ V. Daniel, head of the graduation class of the Military School of the aeronautics “Traian Vuia” and graduate Ionela RUSU, head of the graduation class of the Military School of the naval forces “Admiral Ion Murgescu”.
The above-mentioned prizes were delivered during the graduation ceremonies held on July 20 and 31 of this year, in their garrisons of origin, by generals and reserve officers, former colleagues and close friends of general Ștefan Gusa: admiral C-tin Anghel (Constanța), generals Niculae Spiroiu (Bucharest, National Defence University) and Ilie Dragomir (Pitesti), colonel Dr Eng Corneliu Cristescu (Bucharest, Military Technical Academy), colonel Nicolae Mitu of the General Staff of the Land Forces (Sibiu).

On the occasion of the Preparatory Convocation for the new academic year at the National Defence University “Carol I”, there were delivered the DIPLOMA and the PRIZE OF THE “GENERAL ŞTEFAN GUŞĂ” FOUNDATION for scientific research in the field of military theory for the year 2012, in the amount of 1500 lei, to major assoc. prof. Dorel BUŞE for the work “Centers and power relations in international relations in the post-Cold War era”. The diploma and the prize were delivered by general ( r ) Niculae SPIROIU, DIRECTOR of the Foundation, in the presence of lieutenant-general assoc. prof. dr Teodor FRUNZETI, commander-rector of UNAp, of major general Dumitru SESERMAN head of the Human Resources Management Directorate and of the Teaching Staff of the University.

During the events organized to celebrate Romanian Army Day, a delegation of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation, composed of General Niculae Spiroiu, Colonel Corneliu Cristescu and Eng Andrei Cristian, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Carol Park.
17-18 November 2012 – On November 17 and 18, 2012, in the garrison of Buzău, the annual history contest for pupils and students took place, organized on the occasion of the National Day of Romania by the Marshal Alexandru Averescu Foundation.

On November 17 and 18, 2012, the “Mareșal Alexandru Averescu” Foundation organized in Buzău the annual history contest for pupils and students on the occasion of the National Day of Romania.
For the third consecutive year, the “General Ștefan Gusa” Foundation sponsored the event, in kind, with 70 volumes (14 titles) of works of history and literature. The list is attached below. .
On November 17 and 18, 2012, there took place in the garrison of Buzau the third annual examination of historical contest for pupils and students organized by the “Maresal Alexandru Averescu Foundation”. The support for the event by the “General :Stefan Gusa Foundation” consisted in 70 history books (list attached below).
