The themes addressed in the various episodes concern the impact that contacts with the army had on some great Romanian personalities. These medallions, elaborated especially on the basis of detailed research in the military archives, offered unpublished biographical information on scientists, writers, painters, sculptors, poets, actors, politicians, diplomats, commanders of the Romanian Army, etc., who became through their activity representative personalities of the history and culture of the Romanian people.
These aspects, generally unknown until now, shed light on unusual moments in the life of these personalities, such as, for example, the period of military service, or that in which they participated in the campaigns of 1916 – 1919 or of 1941 – 1945.
The listeners thus relived together with Camil Petrescu, Victor Ion Popa, Ion I.C. Bratianu, Gheorghe Bratianu, Ion Mihalache, Oscar Han, Ion Jalea, Mihail Sadoveanu, Matila Ghyka Costiescu, Ion Trivale, George Emil Palade, Anghel Rugina, George Vraca, Horia Hulubei, Jean Bart, etc. the dramatic moments of the war, or the sublime atmosphere of defining events of the becoming of the Romanian people, such as the Great Union of 1918. Those just mentioned are only some of the names of the long list of personalities at the center of these interesting and instructive presentations.
