– On the occasion of Heroes’ Day, Army Day, December 22 and other holidays, organization in partnership with the Command of the Garrison of Buzau and the local authorities of this city and of the locality of Costesti of the commemorative ceremonies at the monument of general Stefan Gusa, located at the church of the village of Spataru, with related participation;
– Laying of wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, on the occasion of Heroes’ Day and Army Day;
– Awarding of “General Stefan Gusa” Diplomas and Prizes to the student graduating with the highest marks at the Military Technical Academy and to the researcher or graduate at the National Defence University “Carol I” with the best graduation thesis;
– Awarding of “General Stefan Gusa” Diplomas and Prizes to the students graduating with the highest marks at the Land Forces Academy “Nicolae Balcescu” of Sibiu, the Naval Academy “Mircea cel Batran” of Constanza, and the Aeronautics Academy “Henri Coanda” of Brasov;
– Assignment of ten monthly “General Stefan Gusa” study scholarships, as follows:
– Three study scholarships to one pupil of each of the three military high school colleges;
– Four study scholarships to one cadet (one student) of each of the three Armed Forces Academies (land, aeronautics and naval) and of the Military Technical Academy;
– Three study scholarships for one pupil of each of the Military Schools of Non-Commissioned Officers and Masters of the Armed Forces;
– Donation of: food, maintenance materials, stationery articles and toys for the Association Archdeacon “St. Stephen” (Ghencea Parish);
– Organization of a trip to Italy during the summer holidays, as a prize for one pupil of each of the military high schools, at the end of completion of the 2nd or 3rd year of high school. Criteria of selection and nomination in conformity with those approved for the year 2010;
– Interviews, articles in the military and civil press, radio and television broadcasts relating to the purpose and objectives FGSG;
– Realization and supply of documentary material for the section “Personalities in uniform” of the publication “Military Observer”.
– Sponsorship of editorial activities: elaboration, edition and printing of studies and of books of military history and memoir literature, printing of journals of the associations of military personnel – “The cult of heroes”, “War veterans”, “Reserve Military Personnel”, and more exactly of one book – “Military Attachés Report” Vol. VI (report 2010) – and of one issue of “Heroic Romania”;
– Support/sponsorship University of Pitesti for the organization of the National Session of scientific communications of the students of the Faculty of History – “Student research in the 3rd millennium” and of the annual Session of scientific communications of the students of the Faculty of Socio-Human Sciences;
– Collection and selection of documentary material for the realization of a documentary on general Stefan Gusa;
– Common projects in collaboration with the institutes with which there are signed agreements or partnerships in order to support the scientific-educational activities in the military field.
April 2011 – In the week 11 – 16 April this year the last tranche – relating to the period May – July – of the “General Stefan Gusa” study scholarships, was paid to ten scholarship holders, pupils at military high school colleges and Military Schools of Military Masters and Non-Commissioned Officers, and students at the Military Technical Academy, the Land Forces Academy, the Aeronautics Academy and the Naval Academy.
In the week of April 11-16 this year, the last installment, for the months of May-July, of the “General Ştefana Guşă” subsistence scholarships was paid to the 10 scholarship holders, students of military high schools, of the Military Schools of Military Foremen and Non-Commissioned Officers and students of the Military Technical Academy and of the Academies of the Land Forces, the Air Force and the Naval Forces.
Also, Diplomas of Excellence and the “General Ştefan Guşă” Award worth 2000.00 lei were awarded for the most valuable original research papers in the field of defense and national security, presented at the 7th Scientific Conference STRATEGII XXI, with the theme “The Universe of Military Science” organized by the “Carol I” National Defense University on April 14-15. Beneficiaries designated by the Scientific Secretariat of the Conference were Lieutenant Colonel, Lecturer, PhD Ion CĂLIN, author of the paper “Information Management of the Force Group with an Operational Role in Joint Operations” and Research Assistant Cristina BOGZEANU from the Center for Strategic Defense and Security Studies, author of the article “Progress and Obstacles in the European Integration Process of the Western Balkan States”, published in the journal “Strategic Impact” no. 1-2010
05.05.2011 – The “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation donated to the State University of Pitesti 146 volumes. The scientific and fiction works were intended for the awarding of the authors of the papers presented at the 9th Session of scientific communications of the students of the faculties of the University of Pitesti.
02.06.2011 – On the occasion of the Feast of the Ascension and Heroes’ Day, the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation, in collaboration with the military Garrison of Buzau – Command of the 2nd Infantry Division “Getica”, organized a military and religious ceremonial with guard and band, and with laying of wreaths at the monument of general Stefan Gusa and at that of the heroes of the locality of Costesti, located at the Church founded in the village of Spataru.
On the occasion of the Ascension of the Lord – Heroes’ Day, the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation, in collaboration with the Buzău Military Garrison – Command of the 2nd Infantry Division “Getica”, organized a military and religious ceremony with a guard and a band, with the laying of wreaths at the monument of General Ştefan Guşă and at the monument of the heroes of Costeşti Commune, located at the Church of the Founder in the Village of Spătaru.
Wreaths were laid by: a delegation from the family and the General Ştefan Guşă Foundation – Mrs. Guşă, the director Niculae Spiroiu, Mr. Andrei Cristian and Costin Vrabie – as well as the Command of the 2nd Infantry Division “Getica”, the Cultul Eroilor County Branch, Buzău County Prefecture, the County Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the Buzău Police Inspectorate, the City Hall and the Costeşti commune General School. Villagers, reserve officers, relatives participated.

07.11.2011 – 14.11.2011 – Starting from the 2010 – 2011 academic year, along with other awards and scholarships, the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation established subsistence scholarships for one student from each Military High School, Military School for Military Foremen and Non-Commissioned Officers of the General Staffs of the Forces and from the Military Technical Academies of the Land Forces, the Air Force and the Naval Forces.
The selection of the 10 military students and pupils was made – with the assistance of the Human Resources Management Directorate of the Ministry of National Defense – by the managements of the respective educational institutions based on the criteria in the Regulations of the Awards and Scholarships of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation. 25.10.2011 – Within the ceremony held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of Carol Park, on the occasion of the celebration of Army Day, a delegation of the “General Stefan Gusa” Foundation laid a wreath in honour of the Romanian hero soldiers fallen on the battlefields.

During the ceremony that took place on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Carol Park, on the occasion of the Army Day, a delegation of the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation laid a wreath. The delegation included former military school colleagues of General Guşă, Colonel Dr. Eng. Corneliu Cristescu, Colonel Jurist Constantin Găman, the director and collaborators of the foundation, respectively Eng. Niculae Spiroiu, Eng. Cristian Andrei and Costin Vrabie.

01.10.2011 – 30.11.2011 – With sponsorship from the Foundation, it was modernized in October-November this year and repair works were carried out on the outer belt and the windows of the tower of the Church of St. Archdeacon Stephen in the Village of Spătaru, worth 9716 lei.
28.11.2011 – In accordance with the projects on which the “General Ştefan Guşă” Foundation traditionally cooperates with the “Maresal Alexandru Averescu” Foundation and with the University of Piteşti, over 120 volumes of historical and literary works were sponsored in kind to the “History Competition for the Pupils and Students of Buzău County” organized on the occasion of the National Day, respectively the National Communication Session of the Students of the Faculties of History, 10th Edition (62 volumes edited by FED and FGSG with an inventory value of 718.00 lei.
20.12.2011 – On the occasion of Christmas, the Association for the Prevention of School Dropout “Saint Archdeacon Ştefan” Ghencea parish was sponsored in kind, with school supplies, sweets and food products worth 3800.00 lei. The beneficiaries are 52 children and adolescents.

On December 22, the military and religious ceremony took place at the foundation in the village of Spătaru of General Ştefan Guşă, at which the foundation, the family, the prefect of the County, the commander of the Buzău Garrison, general Nicolae Ciucă, the Police Inspectorate, the SRI, war veterans, the UNPR and the People’s Party, the Costeşti City Hall and the Spătaru School laid wreaths. On this occasion, the students of the General School in the village received packages with school supplies, sweets and fruits from the Foundation. Christmas packages (250) were also received by the soldiers of the guard, the brass band and the villagers participating in the ceremony.
